The Doon School Scholarship Examination (DSSE) is held annually. It is an online screening examination designed specifically to identify exceptional boys from all economic backgrounds who might not otherwise be able to access the school. Candidates who clear the DSSE become eligible for the main entrance examination. Scholarships awarded through this route may cover partial or full fees, determined by the Scholarship Committee on the basis of documentation submitted by parents.
Beyond the DSSE, the school offers approximately 30 scholarships and bursaries across different categories — covering boys with exceptional ability in sport or the arts, students from specific regions, and children of armed forces personnel.
