Kindergarten

The environment in the school for primary students is so happy and pleasant that your child will become a successful learner here. The Kindergarten program focuses on Personal, Social, and Emotional Development. That means he will get the necessary mentorship at the beginning of his academic life.

Children at Canadian International School learn excellent skills in communication, language, and Mathematics.

Elementary School

In elementary years, the technique of learning changes a little bit. Here, teachers and mentors emphasize more conceptual instead of rote learning. Students here are given skills and learning based on experiences. They get opportunities to get deeper contextual knowledge. They become more curious and start asking questions of their interest.

Middle School

When the CIS student reaches middle school from elementary one, he does not face any difficulty. For the first three years, he is taught English, Science, and Mathematics. The school keeps a deep eye on child’s growth by organizing standardized tests twice a year.

For middle school students, teachers create a healthy environment of learning. They give tests and quizzes, presentations, peer assessments, and demonstrations.

High School

At this age, your child needs a mentor instead of an instructor. CIS has mentors and educators to fulfill this need of your child. Here, students are prepared for the competition outside the school. They are taught to ask questions, learn, relearn and unlearn.

Teachers work on broadening horizons for students. At the same time, prepare them for the next stage of college and university.

Cambridge IGCSE Exams and the IB/CIS Diploma will make your child well-qualified. There is a special program called IB Retreat. Here, students learn team-building and leadership exercises.

Not only this, the school provides a special guidance team for its students. They guide them through the application process of various colleges.

There is a Contextual Learning program in the school. This is an outdoor activity for students. Here, they get the opportunity to explore core values of Joy, Integrity, Inspiration, Respect, and Care. Students explore global and local issues as they search for solutions, meet new people, discover new places, and discuss ideas.

There are so many projects that take place along with studies. Like, Composting food from the cafeteria, growing vegetables in the garden, keeping a butterfly garden, maintaining a herb wall with medicinal plants, etc. This encourages students toward sustainable development.

Canadian International School Admission Process

CIS has sorted the school admission process into some very simple steps. This will help you to get along very easily.

In the first step, you have to fill out the inquiry form and set up your admissions account and upload documents to your student’s dashboard.

Next, schedule your visit to the school. During your visit to the campus, they will give you information about the school, faculty members, what a typical school day looks like, and provide you with a curriculum overview as well. School administration allows you to see the school campus and you can also meet teachers along the way.

If visiting the school campus seems to be difficult for you then you can opt for a virtual tour on the official website of the school.

Once you have visited the school campus, and are affirmative about the admission, you can confirm the day when your child can appear for the entrance exam. Here, you need to submit the application fee as well.

Within two weeks of observation and entrance exam, the school will notify you of your application status.

Once your application gets accepted, you will get an acceptance letter and an invoice for a registration fee. This is to get the assurance for the seat of your child. CIS allows you to pay the tuition fees one week before school starts. That can also be paid on the orientation day.

Canadian International School Fees

CIS requires parents to pay the Application Fee of $150 (11,000 approx.) prior to the testing date. As the Canadian International School has not disclosed its fees online on any of its websites, there is no clear data. But, according to some insiders, the CIS annual fee is approximately 7 Lakh on average.

Canadian International School Scholarship

The parents seeking admission of their child to CIS must be looking for school scholarship programs.

The school aims to provide quality education to students not only in Bangalore but beyond too. Meanwhile. CIS gives financial aid to students who might not otherwise be able to avail of a CIS education. Success breeds success.

The school knows that better and brighter students, striving for perfection, will strengthen the school among other good schools in India.
