Welham Boys’ Celebrates 88 Years with Art, Theatre, and Awards

Dehradun: Welham Boys’ School celebrated 88 years of excellence with a vibrant three-day Founder’s Day programme featuring art, theatre, sports, and inspiring addresses. The event began with a book fair and an athletics meet inaugurated by athlete Pankaj Dimri, who also attended as the chief guest.
Students showcased a range of talents—from junior school theatre directed by an alumnus to a contemporary art exhibition open to the public. The celebration reflected the school’s focus on creativity and experiential learning.
Former Jammu & Kashmir Governor N. N. Vohra addressed the Founder’s Assembly, encouraging students to embrace discipline, hard work, and responsible citizenship. Awards were presented to students and staff for outstanding academic and cultural achievements.
The school also launched its Yearbook 2024 and screened a documentary titled “Welham Newz,” followed by orchestral and folk performances and a senior school play. The celebrations are set to conclude with a grand carnival.
