Among the oldest co-educational boarding schools in India, Hebron School, Ooty, was established in 1899 and is also one of the most prestigious ones. Green School started out as separate girls’ and boys’ schools, with Hebron Girls’ School located in Coonoor and Lushington Boys’ School.
