There are so many examples of military officers and soldiers who fought wars and sacrificed their lives proudly.
What is that one inspiration which is there in the hearts of millions of Indians? What motivates them that they do not even care for their lives? Respect and trust of civilians. Isn’t it? So, if you have that same passion and you are ready to take on this big responsibility then, Rashtriya Military schools can be the best choice for you. The school will prepare you for your future dream. Here, we will tell you how:
At the time of establishment, Rashtriya Military schools were known as King George’s Royal Indian Military schools. They were formed to take care of the education of the sons of defense personnel. In 1952, the schools were reorganized as public schools and they opened admissions for everyone, be it the children of civilians or the military.
The schools were renamed Military Schools in 1966. The school’s motto is ‘Sheelem Param Bhushanam’ meaning, Character is the Highest Virtue.
At present, there are five Rashtriya Military Schools in India. They are located at Chail in the Shimla Hills of Himachal Pradesh, Ajmer and Dholpur in Rajasthan, Belgaum, and Bangalore in Karnataka.
According to Wikipedia, RIMC Dehradun, 5 RMS, and various Sainik Schools contribute 25% to 30% to various training academies of the Armed Forces.
To let you know, Rashtriya Military Schools give admission to Class 6 and class 9 only. For admission to these classes, Rashtriya Military Schools conduct Common Entrance Test. It is held in December and is an automated OMR-based admission test.
