Top Uttarakhand Schools Rank High in National Survey

Uttarakhand has once again proven itself as a hub of quality education, with several schools from the state earning top positions in the Education World India School Rankings (EWISR) 2025–26.
The survey, conducted by EducationWorld in collaboration with AZ Research Partners Pvt. Ltd., evaluated over 4,500 schools across 518 cities. Rankings were based on inputs from 9,500 respondents, including educationists, principals, parents, and teachers, who assessed schools on 14 parameters such as academic reputation, infrastructure, faculty competence, and co-curricular education.
In the boys’ boarding school category, Welham Boys’ School, Dehradun, secured the top position, reaffirming its status as one of India’s finest.
In the girls
boarding school category, Ecole Globale International Girls’ School, Dehradun, achieved the number one rank, while Welham Girls’ School, Dehradun, maintained its place among the top three.
Among co-educational boarding schools, Kasiga School, Dehradun, was ranked second, followed by SelaQui International School, Dehradun, which secured the fourth spot.
Other notable mentions include The Doon School, Unison World School, and Tula’s International School, all of which continue to uphold the state’s reputation for academic excellence and holistic development.
The results highlight Uttarakhand’s consistent contribution to India’s premier school education landscape, with Dehradun standing tall as the boarding school capital of the country.
