CBSE Issues Strict Advisory on Data Submission for 2026 Board Exams

New Delhi | September 18, 2025 – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a fresh advisory to all affiliated schools, stressing the need for accurate student data submission for the upcoming 2026 Class 10 and 12 board examinations.
The board has warned schools to carefully verify the names of students, parents, and guardians, ensuring they match admission and withdrawal registers. It also emphasized that dates of birth and subject combinations must strictly align with official school records and CBSE guidelines.
Officials noted that subjects such as Hindi, Urdu, and Mathematics often see clerical mistakes, which later create serious problems for students. Once the List of Candidates (LOC) is finalized, only limited corrections will be allowed, and any additional fees for such corrections will have to be paid by students.
After submission, schools will receive a Data Verification Slip to cross-check entries. CBSE has also scheduled a Data Verification Drive from October 13 to 27, during which schools may be asked to provide supporting documents. Beyond this window, no changes will be permitted, making early accuracy crucial.
CBSE has urged schools to handle the process with utmost caution, warning that errors could jeopardize students’ eligibility for the 2026 board exams.
