What is the admission process for Welham Girls’ School?

The admission process at Welham Girls’ School is thorough, transparent, and designed to identify girls who are academically capable and suited to residential school life — not simply those who have been coached for an exam.
The process runs in three stages:
| First | Parents register online at welhamgirls.com, completing an application form and paying a non-refundable registration fee. The school then contacts the family in the year the child is due to appear for assessment. |
| Second | Every registered girl appears for a Round 1 Aptitude/Proficiency Assessment held in August/September at centres in New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Dehradun. This assessment is held in the year preceding the one in which admission is sought. |
| Third | Shortlisted candidates are invited to Dehradun for a personal interaction. Admission offers are made on the basis of this interaction, subject to the number of available seats. |
Admissions are offered in Classes VI, VII, and XI only. Registration does not guarantee admission. The new academic session begins in March/April each year.
