Oak Grove School, the pioneer Railway hill school, was established in 1870 by the former Sindh, Punjab, and Delhi (SPD) Railway, later known as the North Western Railway. The school’s inception took place at a bungalow named ‘Fairlawn,’ which was situated within the Rajah of Nepal’s estate and in close proximity to the current location of Oak Grove School. Due to a surge in the number of students and a shortage of staff to effectively run the school, Fairlawn School merged with Oak Grove School in 1894. Initially, Oak Grove School commenced with a modest enrollment of 28 students, which has now grown to over 600 students.
